Transformation is your nature. It is the movement of life. Life seeks to grow us, continually bringing forth new aspects of our being much as a tree renews itself and brings forth new leaves and branches. As we grow out of the mind-centered animal we’ve been, and move into the heart as the focal point of our being, we are all undergoing a profound transformation just as caterpillar transforms into butterfly.
Getting in our own way
The human system is a complex organism. Unlike the ever flowing movement we see in nature, we have many ways in which we put up obstacles to the natural movement of transformation within us. We’ll get in the way with our mind, our emotions, or energetically.
The last days of mind
For thousands of years, the animal we call ‘Man’ has been exploring an evolving aspect of our being: the mind. Our level our intelligence and capacity for rational thinking has continually grown. We have produced the genius of Einstein and Stephen Hawkins. We are all able to read, write, calculate and compute. We are also subjected to a stream of never ending thoughts, and modern man’s inability to quiet the ever flowing stream of internal chatter.
When our mind gets in the way
This rational mind, an amazing tool for clarity and understanding, often gets in the way of our transformational growth. The life within us, guided by our innate intelligence, seeks to bring forth a new aspects of our being but our mind gets in the way. Our beliefs kick in: it’s not safe, we are not good enough, now is now the right time. The mind is unwilling to trust our heart and inner knowing and allow something new to be born within us.
When the emotions get in the way
Sometimes the obstacles will be emotional. We get that inner impulse to grow and we feel fearful or anxious about stepping into the unknown. There is movement in two directions. The impulse to grow pushes against our resistance and leaves us feeling stuck and going nowhere.
A yes to life
A metamorphic session is a yes to life. We trust that there is something deeper than our personality with it’s never ending wants and needs which guides us and grows us.
A free space
Metamorphic touch does not do anything to the person just as the earth does not do anything to the seed. But that contact between the giver and receiver is like the contact between the earth and the seed: a catalyst which allows the person to unleash their potential. Our commitment, when we give a session, is to never get in the way of their movement by bringing in our thoughts, judgements and advice. We are not here to heal them, but to create a free space in which they can grow themselves in a way that is right for them.
In most healing practices there is a perceived problem which needs to be fixed and a healer to do this. With the metamorphic touch there is no problem, just consciousness exploring itself. We see them as a perfect and with great potential for creativity and movement. In this work, Life is the healer.
Learning this work
More and more people are learning to use this unique approach in their own lives. It appeals because of it’s gentleness and simplicity. It feels so good to be lovingly stroked in a manner which is completely non invasive. They also love the fact that there is no need to discuss issues or problems. The practitioner need not feel responsible for the client’s outcome. They know that life is transformative, and that the life within their client will move them if that is appropriate, and in a way that is right for them. This makes it a spacious and relaxing practice for both the practitioner and the person receiving.
After the workshop
After the workshop you will be able to use this technique on yourself, friends, family and clients. Often people make friends as they learn, and set up swaps groups or one-on-one exchange evenings. Once you’ve learned, you can receive sessions for free.
Taking it out into the world
Recently students have been coming with plans to take this work into prisons and teach the inmates to work on themselves. Others are working in palliative care and assisting the dying. Some work with children, families, and disability. It is also used on animals, especially vulnerable ones. There is infinite scope for sharing this work with the people in your life. We are transformational beings living in transformational times, and this calls for a unique and very different kind of practice.
In 2004, I began training in Metamorphic Technique with it's founder, Gaston Saint-Pierre. I became a practitioner, then a teacher in 2006, which led me to run workshops all around the world. I then created Sacred Life Alchemy, the Co-Create with the Field Manifesting Process, and Heart Listening, three profound healing systems to transform your reality into more of what you want. In 2017, I renamed my teaching Metamorphic Touch to reflect the new insights and perspectives I bring to this approach. Metamorphic Touch is a powerful healing modality to transform your life.
