Our Feet Express Who We Are

Human footprint

Our feet are our base, our foundation, our support, and our connection to the earth. They carry us through this life and express who and how we are. Our language is full of sayings about the feet, which describe our character and way of being in the world.

With metamorphic touch we work on the feet, whose cells anchor the fundamental patterns we are exploring in this life. These patterns shape our relationship to ourselves and to everything around us.

Standing on your own two feet – This is about our ability to be independant and take care of our own needs. We move from the dependance of the child and the adolescent to the independance of the adult.

Having both feet on the ground – This is about our relationship to life. We are earthed, practical, sensible, and solid. When we are not grounded, ideas and visions never become a reality. This abiltiy to be grounded is connected to our relationship to our mother. What she imparts to us connects us to the earth.

Knowing where you stand – Here we know the lay of the land and what the situation is. We know our position in relationship to others, and the state of play.

Having two left feet: Means we are uncoordinated or clumsy.

Trying to get a foot in the door – We have asked for an introduction or recommendation and are looking for a way in to a job or situation.

Putting your foot down – This means being decisive, clear and boundaried. An old Chinese proverb says ‘Parents afraid to put foot down usually have children who step on their toes.’

To be in step – This means being aligned with others, being current and connected to what is happening now.

Cold feet – Shows our fear of taking the step which awaits us.

Putting one foot in front of the other – Here we make the effort to move forwards despite difficult circumstances.

Step on it – Quicken your pace.

Tip toe around – Make yourself invisible, go unoticed, and not disturb.

Step aside – Move out of the way, allowing someone else take your place or proceed.

Getting off on the right foot – Start off well.

Following in someones footsteps – We are aligned to what they have started, we are continuing on with what they have begun.

Foot metamphors are enbeded in our language and understanding because they express how we are. With metamorphic touch we touch points on the feet because the cells here encode the bluprint for our life. By gently stroking this map, and bringing in an attitude of unconditional love and detachment which allows them a free space, transformation can happen from within.

In 2004, I began training in Metamorphic Technique with it's founder, Gaston Saint-Pierre. I became a practitioner, then a teacher in 2006, which led me to run workshops all around the world. I then created Sacred Life Alchemy, the Co-Create with the Field Manifesting Process, and Heart Listening, three profound healing systems to transform your reality into more of what you want. In 2017, I renamed my  teaching Metamorphic Touch to reflect the new insights and perspectives I bring to this approach. Metamorphic Touch is a powerful healing modality to transform your life.
