Giving Metamorphic Touch to Animals

Animals love metamorphic technique

I was leaving Harmony, the beachfront retreat centre in Goa where I’d just finished teaching a Metamorphic Workshop when Mark, the owner, ran up to me looking very distressed.  There was a tiny kitten in the palm of his hand. He turned her over gently to show me her wounded belly which was raw and bloody. One of the beach dogs had bitten her, leaving a huge tear in her coat. Underneath was a translucent sac which held in her organs. It looked very serious, possibly even life threatening. Mark was frantically trying to reach the local vet who was not answering his phone.

Work on the spine

I offered to give her a little Metamorphic Touch and ran my fingers lightly along her spine, stroking this bony ridge from the top of her head all the way down to her tail. After a while her heavy breathing began to ease, her head dropped, and she went into a deep restorative space. I carried on like this for about 10 minutes.

Our life force is the healer

Two days later I ran into Mark and asked if he’d managed to reach the vet. “No, he said, but the wound has completely healed now.” It was an amazing and unexpected outcome. He’d been particularly concerned about infection in the hot and dusty Indian climate.

The miracle of life

Animals respond very well to this unique and non invasive touch. When we give a session we are not trying to impose wellness, or better behaviour on the animal. We just offer the  technique knowing that their life force and innate intelligence will move them in whatever way is right for them.

Years ago, when I lived in New York, my kitten Bugsy imagined that he could fly out of a sixth story window and catch the bird on the windowsill opposite. I found him in one morning, six stories down, in a heap of rubbish, with a broken leg and a collapsed lung. The vet said there was nothing to be done. This was years before I discovered Metamorphic Touch. However I instinctively found myself stroking his spine for hours. The following day his breathing was back to normal and within a week he could hop around, trailing his broken leg behind him. The leg healed in time and he went on to live a long and happy life.

Transformation comes from within

Within us all is the power to transform our challenges. But sometimes it needs a catalyst, just as the acorn needs the earth so that it can unleash it’s potential to become a wise old oak. A Metamorphic session is as neutral as the earth, just there to hold you so that your life force can do what’s needed. Yet that simple catalyst allows the transformational process of life to unfold.

How to give metamorphic technique to an animal

Let your animal to come to you and settle before you begin. Then you can lightly stroke the length of the spine in any fashion or direction. Use whatever movement feels right. Your pet may go away and then come back to you. You are just there to act as a catalyst to their life force and innate intelligence, which knows how to grow them. You can give them sessions as often as they like.

The gift of loving touch

Animals have always given us so much, and at the same time, so many have suffered at our hands. By giving Metamorphic Touch to the animals in your life you give a great gift: trusting that on a deeper level they know what’s right for them, and keeping out of the way, so that they can realise their potential in their own way.

Much love, Dominique

In 2004, I began training in Metamorphic Technique with it's founder, Gaston Saint-Pierre. I became a practitioner, then a teacher in 2006, which led me to run workshops all around the world. I then created Sacred Life Alchemy, the Co-Create with the Field Manifesting Process, and Heart Listening, three profound healing systems to transform your reality into more of what you want. In 2017, I renamed my  teaching Metamorphic Touch to reflect the new insights and perspectives I bring to this approach. Metamorphic Touch is a powerful healing modality to transform your life.
